Golf Day
Children’s Hospice South West
Children’s Hospice South West was founded in 1991 by Jill and Eddie
Farwell.
The first hospice, Little Bridge House, Fremington, North Devon, was opened
in 1995.
The second, Charlton Farm, Wraxall, Nr Bristol, was open in 2007 and a third
hospice for Cornwall and Plymouth is already planned. There is a ‘precious
lives’ appeal now on-going.
The Okehampton Lions have supported CHSW from the start.
The first golf day was held in 1995 and since then we have raised around
£74,000 by holding 12 annual golf days.
Our 13th golf day will be on Friday September 5th 2008 at the Okehampton
Golf Club.
The competition is for teams of four players with 2 scores to count and
is a Stableford. Handicaps of 24 for men and 30 for ladies. Then ¾
of this.
Cost for the team entry is £92.
Sponsorship cost is £250 which includes team entry, 4 meal vouchers
and advertising.
